Today is about How Love Works.
Inspired by the Bible verse John 15:12 which says, "This is my commandment: Love one another as I love you."
"Ridicule, persecution, and rejection filled Jesus' time on earth. Yet Jesus still treated everyone with respect, forgiveness, and compassion. His hands always remained open, palms up, ready to give and receive. This is how love works. Jesus left us an example to follow. The disciples witnessed the great love Jesus had for them, and have passed that down to us. Now it's our turn to make Jesus' love visible for our time and place."
Reflection:
What prevents me from loving others with Jesus' love?
Who could use my love right now?
Prayer:
Compassionate Christ, you gave us a difficult example to follow. Help me to overcome my selfish ways and live as you did. Amen.
